BLVD Moving – What Not to Put on the Truck

(A quick-reference guide for customers who’ve never moved before)

Why some things can’t ride along

  • Perishables spoil fast. Fruit, veggies, frozen food, or half-opened dry goods can leak, mold, or attract pests.

  • Hazardous materials are illegal to haul. Explosives, flammables, and many household chemicals can ignite or corrode other freight.

  • High-value personal items are safer with you. Think cash, passports, laptops, jewelry, and vital paperwork.

  • BLVD liability ends here. Anything on this list that sneaks onto the truck travels at your own risk; any spills or damage void claims.

Exception: If your entire trip is ≤ 150 milesand delivery happens within 24–48 hours, your crew may agree to take tightly sealed perishables—but only with advance approval.

Before your packing day

  1. Walk room-by-room and pull everything on this list into a “Do Not Move” corner.

  2. Dispose of hazardous liquids at your local recycling or waste facility.

  3. Hand-carry valuables, documents, and small electronics.

  4. Talk to your account rep if you’re unsure about an item.
